Every job we log comes with its own set of conditions. These are the standing clarifications we apply across borehole testing, filtration, pump work and rainwater harvesting, so there is no confusion later about scope, readings or who does what.
Readings are point-in-time
Iron, manganese, turbidity and bacterial results reflect the sample drawn on the day of the site visit. Borehole chemistry shifts with rainfall, drawdown and seasonal water tables, so a clean result in March does not guarantee the same in September. We recommend re-testing after heavy rain or if the water changes colour or taste.
Lab results come from you
Sizing a filtration skid or a UV stage depends on accurate lab numbers. If you supply results from an accredited lab, we work from those. If you only have a strip test or a rough reading, we say so plainly and treat the design as provisional until a proper sample is analysed.
Existing plumbing stays unless it fails
We keep pressure vessels, JoJo tanks and pipework that are still sound and correctly sized. Replacing a working tank stand or a serviceable pump is not part of a standard install. Where an existing component is undersized for the new demand, we flag it before quoting, not after.
Consumables are the owner's routine
Sediment cartridges, UV lamps and media backwash schedules are maintenance items, not once-off installs. We hand over a written schedule and a wall chart for the pump room. Keeping to it is what holds the post-install readings steady.
Scope is per site, not per category
A guesthouse in Stellenbosch and a smallholding near Hartbeespoort may both need iron removal, but the pump room, drain routing and peak demand differ. Two jobs under the same heading rarely share the same equipment list or trenching plan.
Water quality is not a health guarantee
Our filtration and UV stages are sized to the readings we are given and the demand on site. They reduce iron, sediment and bacterial load, but they are not a substitute for independent potability testing where drinking water compliance is required.
